Antoinette Fay-Hallé

Antoinette Faÿ-Hallé, born in Paris, is an honorary general curator of heritage. After studying art history at the Ecole du Louvre and the University of Paris IV-La Sorbonne, she joined the conservation corps of the Museums of France in 1969. She was then assigned in 1970 as curator at the Musée national de Céramique, in Sèvres. She was the head of the museum from 1981 to 2009. She has also taught the history of ceramics at the Ecole du Louvre and at the University of Paris IV-La Sorbonne. She is the author of numerous publications, particularly in two fields: French faience (Nevers and Marseille) and contemporary French ceramics, and has curated exhibitions on various types of ceramics.
