Aurélien Jacob

Aurélien Jacob (1990), historien de l’art (UCLouvain) et enseignant. Master en Archéologie gréco-romaine (2012-2013) et AESS en Histoire de l’art (2014). Coordinateur de la programmation culturelle et de la pédagogie à l’Institut Culturel d’Architecture Wallonie-Bruxelles (ICA-WB) (2019-2024), et à l’initiative de l’écriture et de la coproduction d’ouvrages et d’expositions visant à sensibiliser les publics aux questions de l’architecture, dont L’architecture fait l’école buissonnière en 2021. Actuellement, directeur des divers publics du Musée Horta à Bruxelles.

 

Aurélien Jacob (1990) is an art historian and teacher, and an alumnus of UCLouvain. He holds a master’s in Graeco-Roman Archaeology (2012–2013) and a Higher Secondary-Education Teaching Certificate (AESS) in Art History (2014). In 2019 he was named Coordinator of Cultural Programming and Pedagogy at the Institut Culturel d’Architecture Wallonie-Bruxelles, a position he held for five years. He has been a driving force behind the writing of books and the organisation of exhibitions aimed at raising public awareness of architectural issues. Among these initiatives are L’architecture fait l’école buissonnière (2021). He is currently Director of Public Affairs at the Musée Horta in Brussels.
