Jacinthe Gigou
Jacinthe Gigou (1982), historienne de l’art et de l’architecture (Université de Tours et ULB). Directrice d’Arkadia (2008-2020), commissaire d’expositions au CIVA (2011-2012), co-fondatrice du BANAD Festival et de la Brussels Biennale of Modern Architecture (BBMA). Critique d’art, journaliste et auteure de 150 Houses You Need to Visit Before You Die et Modern Brussels Map. Depuis 2021, fondatrice et directrice du projet Modernista valorisant l’architecture et la culture moderniste, brutaliste et postmoderne à Bruxelles et en Belgique.
Jacinthe Gigou (1982) is a historian of art and architecture, and an alumna of the University of Tours and ULB. She was Director of Arkadia from 2008 to 2020, and in 2011 and 2012 curated a number of exhibitions at CIVA. She is a co-founder of the BANAD Festival and the Brussels Biennale of Modern Architecture. She is also an art critic, a journalist, and the author of 150 Houses You Need to Visit Before You Die and Modern Brussels Map. In 2021 she launched and ran a project, Modernista, on modernist, brutalist, and postmodern architecture in Brussels and Belgium.
