• Catherine François

  Born in 1963 in Belgium, Catherine François studied law before turning to Fine Arts and Sculpture, to which she has devoted the past thirty life of her life. Her works have been exhibited in Brussels, Knokke, Paris, Geneva. In 2007, the David and Alice Van Buuren Museum in Brussels hosted her first retrospective exhibition, which proved hugely successful. This invitation was renewed in 2012. Drawing her inspiration from nature, Catherine François’s works veer towards abstraction while boasting strong, organic, familiar and sensual characteristics. Her sculptures communicate the infinity of the movement, regardless whether energies are balanced or not... in short... just like life itself.

• Stève Polus

  Journalist and editor for Le Soir Magazine and at the RTBF, Polus has written several articles on Catherine François’ work in Uccle’s cultural magazine Wolvendael, which he directed throughout the fifth decade of his professional career. His life is driven by a resistance to boredom and to political correctness, but also by his interest in opening up new possibilities. He looks at life through the eyes of a reporter, searching for the right story before writing and describing it. Stories, he asserts, need to make sense and nourish the imagination through the reality they present.

• Guy Duplat

  Born in 1950, Guy Duplat is a civil engineer and physicist. From 1980 to 1990, he worked as a journalist for the newspaper Le Soir before becoming Editor-in-Chief in 1990, a position he held until 2000. That year, he was appointed Head of the Cultural Department and Cultural Critic (arts, scenes, literature) of La Libre Belgique, where he stayed until 2015. He is the author of Une Vague Belge (published by Racine in 2004) and of Particules de Vie, a series of interviews with François Englert (in collaboration with Françoise Baré, published by La Renaissancedu Livre in 2014).
